A lovely little taxidermy crossbill mounted on a natural oak branch with groundwork. A very unusual bird to find, and the first I have had for taxidermy ever! I’ve added groundwork specific to the bird as they are specialists of feeding on pinecones.
This bird died of natural causes in the wild. Created in Sheffield using traditional taxidermy techniques.
I’ve mounted this on a circular base so a glass dome can be easily added for protection if you choose to. I would reccommend adding a dome or case if you can, to keep your bird in imaculate condition for many years to come. I use puffinplastics.co.ukfor affordable arylic cases in bespoke sizes.
All the animals I use are either sourced from the snake feed or pest control industries, or found after dying of natural causes.
All my taxidermy items are non refundable so please read the descriptions and check the photos carefully before purchasing.
